Learning a second language opens up a ton of career opportunities. I’m not just talking about freelancing or working location-independently either, though these are excellent ideas which I’ve personally used. There are lots of other ways that speaking two or more languages can improve your employment prospects. The world is changing fast. More companies than ever are doing business in several – often dozens of – countries around the world, but they can’t do it without hiring globally-minded people who can speak at least one foreign language.

There are many compelling reasons to study Chinese. Many people simply enjoy studying foreign languages.

Chinese is particularly fascinating because of its beautiful handwriting, melodic spoken language, and poetic phrasing. There are also very practical reasons to acquire another language and Chinese is increasingly important to our current and future dialogue with China.

For most of our foreign students, their time is quite limited. School kids already have a lot on their plate-homework, exams, projects and so on. Working adults have countless meetings and field trips. It is beyond doubt that learning mandarin is important Singapore. But our teachers are making this journey a lot more fun. Instead of a burden, we link mandarin learning to excitement, laughter, and accomplishment.

One of the most common reactions people have when you suggest they learn Chinese is to complain that it’s incredibly difficult. Luckily for Chinese learners, this is completely wrong.
While there are probably easier languages to learn than Chinese, it is by no means the most difficult, and far from the insurmountable object, many make it out to be!
When it comes to the issue of grammatical complexity, Chinese is really one of the easiest languages there is to learn.
Unlike most European languages, it does not feature complicated constructs like cases and genders.

It is well known that learning a language is a matter of gradual perseverance. Chinese is no exception. Chinese is a more and more useful language in the world and you can benefit a lot from it if you can stick to it, no matter adults or kids. Here I would like to introduce two Chinese proverbs, which can inspire you to begin or to insist on it.

1. 一口吃不成胖子。(yìkŏu chī bù chéng pàngzi.)
One meal won’t make a fat man.
It means that you can’t build up the constitution on one mouthful. Nobody could get instant benefits, and success comes from the regular accumulation.
