【Teacher's Sharing】Our classes are full of fun!

From 黄老师 (Huang Laoshi)

I have taught Chinese at Kirinmandarin for 4 years. Many of my students thought of me as their long-time friend rather than a teacher The prominent feature of my class is humour. I weave the vocabulary, grammar points, pronunciation, cultural hints and beyond altogether. I can speak both standard mandarin and English. For zero-level students, I mostly use English as course medium in the beginning but once they acquire the basics, I will try to speak Mandarin as much as possible. It is very important to immerse in a Mandarin-speaking environment. Compared to the traditional Chinese teaching style, my class values interaction. Students are always welcome to raise any question at any time so that I can better understand them and have a better teaching result. Before we begin, we will have a test to assess students’ level of mandarin to design the most suitable curriculum. If you want to study Chinese with me, join our class at Kirinmandarin! I am waiting for you!

From 王老师 (Song Laoshi)

Learning spoken Chinese has different stages such as Pinyin, words, phrases, dialogues, and conversation. In most cases, speaking ability outweighs writing ability, especially in business scenarios. Thus, when we design the courses, speaking is the primary focus. Learning to speak in Chinese starts from Pinyin. For most foreign students, the pronunciation of Mandarin is the most difficult part. Pinyin is a good and practical tool to learn mandarin and native Chinese students also learn Pinyin in Grade 1. Some consonants are difficult for English speakers such as “zh”, “ch”, “sh”and“r”. Because there is no equivalent for them in English. We will find innovative ways to help students remember their sound and practice a lot with them. After attending our classes, many students provided positive feedback of improving speaking ability. Our team of professional teachers continuously work on improving our teaching standards. Come to study with us!
