Mandarin is one of the most challenging languages for students. Because the grammar and the writing of Mandarin are quite complicated. This makes many Mandarin students feel difficulty in studying this language. Thus, some students try to just pick up the listening and speaking of Mandarin but avoid the writing and reading.
